Azur Events Limited, the leasehold owner of the Azur Marina Pavilion, survived an initial winding up hearing in the High Court in London on 1 March. Landlords Sea Change Sussex (the trading name of regeneration company East Sussex Energy Infrastructure and Development Limited) are claiming six-figure arrears of rent, but Judge Barber allowed the debtor company 28 days to put together a counterclaim, and the case was adjourned to a further hearing not before the middle of May. It is assumed that Azur’s restaurant and events business will continue to trade in the meantime.
