Hypha Studio Space Relaunch
Following a rather unexpected studio move earlier this summer, mosaic artist Emma Law is now settling into the Hypha Studios space in Priory Meadow (the former Shoe Zone unit), and it has opened up all sorts of possibilities.

Her vision is growing the space into something much bigger than a studio—a flexible, community-led place that could become home to exhibitions, workshops, artist meet-ups, creative projects and, she is hoping, a Scrap Zone: a working reuse store where donated art and craft materials can be redistributed to artists, makers, schools, and community groups.
COASTAL CURRENTS
Emma Law will be exhibiting as part of the Coastal Currents Festival this September, and the space will be opening its doors as one of the festival venues. Enthusiasts can come along, see the exhibition, have a chat, and take a look at what’s beginning to emerge. If you’ve ever wished Hastings had another space for creative collaboration, she would love to hear your ideas.
FANCY GETTING INVOLVED?
As the project develops, Emma is hoping to gather a small team of enthusiastic people who’d like to help shape it from the ground up.
She is particularly interested in hearing from people with experience or enthusiasm for:curating exhibitions, gallery invigilation, volunteer coordination, community engagement, marketing and social media, fundraising and grant applications, administration and project organisation, workshop facilitation, creative reuse and sustainability, and building local partnerships. Whether you can spare a few hours a month or are interested in helping steer the project longer term, Emma would welcome connection.
