Project Art Works Exhibition
studio INstall: Luke Bebb is open until the end of this week at the Project Art Works gallery. The space recreates the Project Art Works studio in Braybrooke Terrace where artists Luke Bebb and Oliver Crowther regularly work together in co-creative exchange. The installation reveals aspects of Supported Studio Practice and how intuitive, often non-verbal collaborative exploration can positively impact lives beyond the studio.

Throughout the exhibition period, there are moments when the artists are present and collaborating. At other times, traces of Luke and Oliver’s ongoing work remain.
Audiences will encounter paintings, soundscapes and environments that make equity in artistic practice possible, highlighting the importance of supportive and responsive approaches to contemporary art making.
OPEN STUDIO AND TOUR
As part of the Coastal Currents festival, Project Art Works will open its campus across three sites in Hastings for studios and exhibitions. Alongside their studios on Braybrooke Terrace, they will present a new exhibition at In Residence Gallery at Claremont.

To celebrate heritage, community and history, a special guided tour, part of the national programme Heritage Open Days, will be offered on 16 September. Built in 1870, 12 Claremont is a prominent five-story Victorian building in the historical area of Trinity Triangle in Hastings. Originally erected as the Claremont Rooms, its rich history includes housing Hastings’ first telephone exchange, an art school, and a local workers’ reading room. Amici Studio CIC, who run the creative hub on the building’s top floor, will join the tour.
Project Art Works, 12 Claremont, is open Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 11am-4.00pm. More information and further examples of Bebb’s work: projectartworks.org. Exhibition runs 21 July – 15 August. Opening party for Coastal Currents show: Saturday 5 September. Opening times: Saturday 5, Sunday 6, Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 September. Tour: Wednesday 16 September, 6-7.30pm. Free, booking essential.
