Hastings Borough Council has announced £20,000 in grant funding to help the community tackle the growing challenge of landslides. The new Landslides Grant invites applications from local organisations for projects focused on research, prevention, and mitigation.

With landslides becoming more common across the town, the fund aims to build local capability, strengthen community knowledge, and test innovative or low-cost approaches to reduce risk and improve preparedness.

The grant is specifically designed to support actionable community-level initiatives, rather than large-scale engineering works. Applications are now open for projects that will help Hastings understand and build resilience against this persistent environmental threat.
