Pints with Purpose Packs Stade Hall
The Hastings Project is a community interest company that brews beer to raise money for local good causes. Earlier this month, it hosted a packed evening at Stade Hall to showcase a number of local charities, including the Refugee Buddy Project, Little Gate Farm, Spun Glass Theatre and the Samaritans.

Their community project lead worker, Ed Nash, explains: “Pints With Purpose was all about celebrating the incredible work happening within our community while bringing people together over a pint, great food and live music. It was a busy, lively evening that allowed members of the public to chat and understand the vital work that some charities do in our community.
“We’d like to extend our thanks to all the charities involved, as well as everyone who came along to support the event – and is now looking to get involved with local volunteering opportunities! We had an absolute blast and can’t wait to do it again.
“We’re also excited to announce a new beer for Jack in the Green brewed with our pals at Villages, which will be available just in time for May Day. In addition, we have two pub quizzes lined up at The Albion in Hastings and the Ypres in Rye, raising funds for Jack in the Green and The Hastings Therapy Centre.
“And we’re also working on a collaborative beer with Goat Ledge, with proceeds going towards Surfers Against Sewage.”
