How did you get involved in the Hastings Rocks Film Festival?
Part of our course is an industry placement, and the university helped me find this role which I was fortunate enough to get an interview for.
What will you be doing at the film festival?
I’m helping with promotion, front of house, sound and recording key parts of the event.
What’s your favourite film in the festival?
My favourite film is The Waiter, The Scientist and Jenny. It’s a documentary about someone who leads a very unique and interesting way of life.
What’s your favourite film more generally?
My favourite film in general is Heat by Micheal Mann because the intensity really hooks me in.
What film have you watched most often?
I’ve watched all the Die Hard films more times than I can even remember!
Who’s your favourite director?
My favourite director is Christopher Nolan because I remember watching the Batman Trilogy as a child and every film he’s made after that has stuck with me.
Is there a classic or highly rated movie you don’t especially like?
I wasn’t a massive fan of Everything, Everywhere All at Once. I was really surprised when it swept the Oscars.

What’s the best thing about living in Hastings?
One of the best things about Hastings is the fish markets on the seafront. They have some of the greatest mackerel I’ve ever had!
