Residents of East Sussex aged 50 and over, along with health and care workers and people who are clinically vulnerable, should now be receiving invitations to book a first Covid-19 vaccination jab. Carers can get latest information on the Care for the Carers website www.cftc.org,uk/covid-19-vaccine-faqs-for-carers-in-sussex

Meanwhile invitations for second jabs are also being rolled out but are dependent on where the first jab was administered and with which vaccine. National guidance is that second jabs should be effected in the same location as the first. Generally, appointments are being offered with a 10-11 week interval between the two.

Travel to any vaccination appointment can be arranged if needed through an East Sussex travel co-ordinator, reachable on 07871 603235

Healthwatch Survey

Healthwatch East Sussex are conducting a survey of patients resident in East Sussex who were discharged from hospital between December 2020 and April 2021.

They are asking:
• How was the experience for you?
• Did it meet your requirements?
• What information or signposting were you provided with?
• Have you had all of the support that you require?

Their stated aim is to learn whether the “landscape for health and community support” has changed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
