An exciting evening awaits as author Matthew Ingram will be in conversation, discussing the stories and spirit behind The Garden, a richly researched work celebrating those who challenged industrial agriculture with visionary alternatives.

The event is free and offers attendees an opportunity to explore the radical

food and farming revolution of the 1970s.  How a generation influenced by psychedelics, Eastern philosophy, and reactions to Vietnam sparked a deep interest in sustainable food movements that continue to influence how we grow and eat today.

In addition, there will be a special introduction by Craig Sams, co-founder of Whole Earth and Green and Black’s, and a pioneering force in the UK’s organic food scene.

Guests can enjoy drinks in the lush garden surroundings of The Beacon—an ideal

setting to reflect on the ideas and legacies featured in the book.
