Mark Walter at Electro Studios
Confront the Silence Without Light is Walter’s largest solo exhibition to date, and will feature an opportunity to see him painting live, in a show at Electro Studios Project Space at the end of October.
The exhibition will showcase Mark’s evolving practice over the last ten years. Visitors will be able to experience a diverse range of works. These start with work with some sculptural aspects, that combine natural materials and detritus, to more recent explorations in ink, biro, household paint, and various other mixed media. The collection highlights the development of his technique and also reflects the continual evolution of his artistic process. Mark’s practice engages with materiality and texture: it explores layering, depth and space, and often plays within a three-colour spectrum, sometimes inviting a tactile response.
Mark will be painting in the gallery space Thursday and Friday October 30 and 31 between 12 and 4 pm. Private View: Friday 31, 6-9pm with live music from Allie K Stewart.
