The Biggest Beach-Side Art Event in the UK
The 2025 edition of BAAM will once again fill the historic and iconic lower deck prom bridging at Hastings and St Leonards, Bottle Alley, with 60+ artists showing and selling their work. There’ll be live performances, live drawing, live music and DJs creating a unique experience in a unique location. We are back on the August Bank Holiday Saturday, between 10am and 6pm, in order to give maximum exposure and footfall to all taking part.
The Open Call is now live until the end of May with 60 spots available and up to 10 free spaces being offered to younger low/no-income artists, in support of the town’s ever evolving creative community. This year we’d very much like to focus and give a platform to local fine artists. There are plenty of craft and makers’ markets throughout the year, but the Art Market’s mission is to give space to those whose work explores the traditions and boundaries of fine art practice outside of the gallery system. The market is also a great way for artists to meet their buyers face to face, and to talk about their work in a supportive environment.
We’re very pleased to announce that local artist, educator and film maker Lorna Hamilton Brown MBE will be joining this year’s curation team. There will be more announcements in the coming weeks about what will be happening over the BAAM weekend.
