At Last – Sherlock Holmes Comes to Hastings
SAM WESTERBY
Doctor Who time lord Colin Baker and The Archers performer Terry Molloy star in the Sherlock Holmes radio play The Sign of Four at White Rock Theatre on April 15. Colin and Terry, who met while filming Doctor Who in the 1980s, are reprising their roles as Holmes and Dr. Watson after an acclaimed tour last year.

Dr Who’s Colin Baker
Colin likens Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s legendary creation to the much-loved time traveller: “It inhabits the same territory as the doctor in Doctor Who because it’s the Lone Ranger syndrome,” Colin told Lynn Bowles on BBC Radio Wales last year. “This guy who nobody really knows, who rides into town, solves all your problems and then isn’t there again. It’s what we’re all looking for isn’t it? Someone kind and forgiving.”
Colin appeared as the sixth doctor in BBC1 series Doctor Who between 1984 and 1986. His small-screen CV also includes The Brothers, Casualty, The Bill, Roland Rat – The Series, The Kenny Everett Show and I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here! His theatre appearances include portraying Inspector Morse in House of Ghosts, also parts in Great Expectations, Hamlet, The Wizard of Oz and Run For Your Wife.
Terry made his debut as Mike Tucker in The Archers on BBC radio in 1973. He has also played Boko in Risky City, which earned him a Sony Award, and Davros in Doctor Who. Stage appearances include An Inspector Calls, Godspell and Sleuth.
