Howerd’s End at The Stables
Saturday 18 November, Stables Theatre Hastings, 7.30 pm
Award-winning actor Simon Cartwright plays Frankie Howerd and Mark Farrelly appears as Frankie’s lover, manager, and chauffeur. The two-hander, written by Farrelly and set at their home in Somerset, offers the chance to experience the span of Howerd’s fifty-year career and his personality as a true survivor.

Tarek Lakhrissi – Unfinished Sentence II

Mobilising language as a raw material, Lakhrissi introduces sound, sculpture and other visual media into his installations and performances. At Flatland Projects, Lakhrissi will be presenting an installation inspired by Monique Wittig’s 1969 novel Les Guérillères – themes of rebellion and restoration.
Bexhill Footbridge Project Community Art Event
Sadly, the launch was rained off. However this open air gallery has brought much joy to the community, and they hope to reschedule the event in the near future. The Footbridge Project is a community group run by volunteers who are aiming to visually enhance the well-used but unloved footbridge that crosses the railway line in Bexhill.

Hurry for outstanding performance TONIGHT ONLY organised by Reggie Hendrickse. In addition to the monthly Tuesday gigs at EHSAA on The Stade, Hendrickse has organised a special performance. Two of the UK’s finest musicians come together in a musical interplay that is both challenging and inspiring. Based on their recent recording: Lucky Teeth 2023, this is a one-off performance with limited seating.
Horrible Christmas
Bexhill, De La Warr Pavilion, 22-23 Dec, 2.00pm and 4.30pm Director/actor of Horrible Christmas, Neal Foster, says “Christmas is a special time of year, and it’s wonderful to perform in a heart- warming show about the importance of family in the company of Horrible Histories, who always know how to have fun!”

An imaginative reworking of a range of Duke Ellington’s iconic compositions, from the early Cotton Club blues material to Swing hits and through to the exotica that was inspired by Ellington’s extensive travels.
