Quakers’ Latest Food Celebration
Hastings Quakers celebrated the 350th anniversary of the first Quaker meeting in Hastings on Sunday 24 September. That meeting was held in late 1673, probably around the High Street in the Old Town. After the meeting the participants were all jailed, as was customary for Quakers at the time. The recent celebration passed off peacefully. For information visit hastings-quakers.org.uk.
