On Tuesday 24th of October, 1066 Dance will begin teaching lessons at Downs Farm Community Centre, Crowborough Road, Hastings, TN35 5EE. The school is going to be headed by qualified and ex-professional Dancer & Choreographer Layne Burton, who may be the only male dance teacher operating in the area.

Layne, who recently moved back to his hometown of Hastings, says “I have just spent the last 2 years re-training as a Full Teaching Member of the ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) under the expert tuition delivered by the Deborah Lamb Theatre Arts accredited centre in Uckfield. I was recently awarded a very high score for my DDE Teaching Practice unit, no mean feat by a 50 year old, returning to dance after a 20 year ‘sabbatical’.”

1066 Dance school will offer free children’s dance classes during October half term holiday, and Dance Aerobics classes, for all ages and levels, will start on Tuesday 30th October.
