Open More Hours: Ore PO To Return in May
The Post Office is planning to re-open its branch in Ore – next door to the one which closed precipitately in August last year. The new service will be at Dhruva News and Off Licence, 492 Old London Road. It is hoped to start on Thursday 14th May at 1pm, subject to relaxation of current pandemic conditions.
The planned opening hours are Monday to Friday: 5.30am – 7pm; Saturday: 6am – 7pm; Sunday: 7am – 1pm: a total of 86 hours and 30 minutes per week. Post Office services will be provided from an open-plan counter alongside the retail till of the convenience store.

Customers of main UK banks will be able to access accounts at the new branch. Services will include bill payments, cash withdrawals and foreign currency, postage, and home shopping collections and returns
The Post Office is now inviting customers and interested parties to give their comments on the move. They say they are looking for feedback about accessibility, local community issues and anything “to make life easier for our customers”.
• Consultation will run until 22nd April 2020. Post online at postofficeviews.co.uk with the branch code 085925, via email to [email protected], by post to Freepost YOUR COMMENTS, by telephone 03452 660115, or by Textphone 03457 223355.
