Hastings Borough Council planning and enforcement officers have intervened to stop unauthorised work on protected trees at the Archery Ground housing development site in St Leonards.

The Development partners, Gemselect and Orbit Housing Association, also face local objections to their application to Hastings Borough Council  to reduce the number of affordable homes required in the development.  A ruling by the planning committee is awaited.

The site for 97 new homes, in a conservation area, is also to have a pedestrian access bridge from Highland Gardens.
