Hastings Pier: Bring Back the Glory Days
Hastings-based punk/skiffle band Fear of Last Orders have released a new song in support of the campaign to bring back the glory days to the town’s pier, as the future of the important and historic structure hangs in the balance following the decision by the current owners to sell it off.

The End of The Pier is available for free download from the band’s platforms, and the group managed to shoot a promotional video on the boards, before the pier was finally locked up awaiting its fate.
Fear of Last Orders hope that the tune will help publicise the community campaign to save the pier and to bring it back into use as a community resource.
Geoff Martin from the band said
“We stand 100% behind the campaign to save Hastings Pier, and we wanted to do our bit as musicians to back those who are leading that fight on behalf of the local community. The End of the Pier is a love song which celebrates the glorious history of the town and the days when every top band played in the Ballroom, from the Stones and the Who through to the Clash and the Sex Pistols.
But we don’t want the pier to be a footnote in musical history books, we want to see it brought back to life with a new energy and vigour, playing a key role in the cultural future of this wonderful town. We are proud to do our bit to try and make that happen.”
