Hastings Comedy Festival returns on 1 June for its 11th year. The week-long celebration of live comedy kicks off at The Printworks and The St Leonard, with shows from Lara Ricote, Tez Ilyas and Darren Walsh.

This year’s festival takes place over 15 local venues, hosting shows from some of the funniest comedians, established or emerging. They perform tour previews and works in progress ahead of national tours and the Edinburgh Fringe.

There will also be comedy for children on Saturday, 6 June, alongside the return of the Festival’s Newcomer Competition (The Norman Award), hosted by comedy circuit legend Barry Ferns. Among the listings are two secret shows, where audiences won’t know who is performing until they walk on stage.

Some shows have already sold out, while others are selling fast, so you’ll need to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
