Anna Erhard to Play at Kino-Teatr
Swiss-born Anna Erhard will headline the Kino-Teatr in St Leonards-on-Sea on 30 September, bringing the curtain down on her UK tour.

2023 has already been a big success, with sold out shows in London and major support from BBC big-hitters like Steve Lamacq, Lauren Laverne, Marc Riley and Huw Stephens. Known for her infectious, off-the-wall indie/art-pop, Anna will be supporting the release of her latest single 170. It’s her first new work since her 2022 Campsite album, which was a catalyst for the buzz surrounding her.
On Campsite, which was her second solo album, Anna gleefully embraced a completely new way of working. Produced by ex-Wir Sind Helden drummer Pola Roy, Anna shone on the album with adventurous indie-pop grooves and dry humour.
Fans will be excited to hear that she has continued in this vein with 170, a track packed with oddball beats, clanging guitars, a deadpan slacker pop vibe and a luminous, wavy chorus.
When discussing her new single, Anna says: “My friend and I had a serious argument about how tall we are – I am obviously taller than her and I wrote this song to make her publicly admit that she was wrong when she said that I am not 170cm (5‘7“). I am 170 and she is shorter than me.”
It is playfulness and humour like this within the lyrics, together with the catchiness of the songs, that make Anna Erhard one of the indie-pop stars to watch.
