A New Picasso?
A few times every century, a child emerges who is clearly born to be an artist. Think of Mozart composing at the age of four, Picasso whose first words were “pencil, pencil”, Shirley Temple singing and dancing in films at three years old. Sybil Woodward, at five, currently has her first art exhibition showing at Pip’s Gallery in George Street.

While the title of the picture, Starry Night might be familiar, this prize-winning work is an enormous achievement by Sybil, and it is obvious that she has a special talent to be nurtured and encouraged. The creative environment of Hastings is uniquely conducive to this.
See Sybil Woodward’s exhibition at Pip’s Gallery, 4 George Street, Hastings Old Town until 21 December.
