The Bale House Visitor Centre in Hastings Country Park Nature Reserve will be inviting children to meet, not Santa, but the even more rarely seen Mrs Claus.

A specially constructed grotto will welcome Mrs Claus and her young visitors. Made from as many resources as possible from within the Nature reserve, and created entirely by volunteers, the leafy venue will be open for children aged between three and 11 between December 14 and 17, and 21 through to December 23. Mrs Claus will be giving gifts celebrating local culture to her eager guests.

The Bale House Manager, Sue Learoyd Smith said, “in our inaugural year it’s a joy to celebrate the season in this way. We look forward to welcoming many more visitors to The Bale House and the Country Park Nature Reserve – maybe even allowing some to discover us for the first time”.

Mrs Claus will be in the grotto on the following dates: December 14–17 and 21–23 at The Bale House Visitor Centre, Hastings Country Park Nature Reserve.

Bookings must be made via the Eventbrite site.
