We are delighted to announce that we have actress, writer, radio presenter, voice over artist and all round good egg Maria McErlane switching on the St Leonards Christmas Lights at this year’s Frost Fair. Her sidekick Dolly was unavailable for comment, so we are unable to confirm her attendance.

Leading up to the illumination on December 1st, the Kings Rd market will be on from 10.00-17.00 as well as all day street entertainment from 12.00, including the hugely popular HOT Ukuleles.

The Frost Fair Parade begins at 13.00 with the arrival of the Snow Queen and her court. Laud them as the regal procession departs from Christ Church, down London Road, and winds around Warrior Gardens before finally arriving in Kings Road.

Then the moment we all want to see: as darkness descends, Maria will light up Kings Road at 16.30 and signal the Christmas countdown.
