Emmaus Grant to Provide Counselling Support
Homelessness charity Emmaus Hastings & Rother has been awarded £19,200 from the National Lottery Awards for All England programme to support the delivery of one-to-one counselling for residents over the next two years.

The funding will provide up to seven hours of professional counselling each week, for 48 weeks a year, helping people who have previously experienced homelessness access vital emotional and mental health support when they need it most. By investing in wellbeing, the charity can continue to support people to rebuild their confidence, improve their mental health and work towards a more positive future.

Having a home is just the first step in supporting people on their journey out of homelessness. Emotional wellbeing plays a huge role in helping people rebuild their lives, and this funding allows us to provide consistent, professional counselling support, ensuring people feel heard, supported and able to move forward.”
