Dressing Up for Charity
The staff of Marie Curie charity shop at 17 Queens Rd, Hastings dressed up for the first Hastings Comic Con, held at the White Rock Theatre last Saturday and Sunday. It’s something they do for local events throughout the year; not only dressing up but also dressing the window and selling outfits for anyone wishing to take part in the event. It was the brainchild of manager Judy Redfern (right) to increase sales for the charity. Judy is seen here with assistant manager Loraine Early (left) and one of the volunteers (centre). The next big event will be Pirate Day, so make sure you get along to Marie Curie to find your outfit!
