Cancer Support One Cup at a Time
ROD WEBB
Nobody will deny that dealing with a cancer diagnosis on your own is very tough. But you’re not alone if you pop down to the Macmillan Information & Support Hub at Hastings Town Hall where, three times per week, you can get free information and emotional support.

The Macmillan team is there to welcome you into a safe, confidential space where they will listen to what matters most to you. They can guide you through the tough days, connect you with financial guidance or link you to local practical help.
Whether you are living with cancer yourself or are caring for a partner, friend or family member, there’s always a welcome. No need to book an appointment, simply drop in whenever you are ready. Opening times are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
If you are looking for shared experiences, the Hub also hosts an informal Macmillan Friends and Family Coffee Morning on the first Thursday of every month from 10.30am to 12.30pm. It’s completely free, and there’s plenty of tea and friendly faces to help you feel at home. It’s a chance to take a breath and chat with others who truly understand what you are going through.
We hope you have enjoyed reading this article. The future of our volunteer led, non-profit publication would be far more secure with the aid of a small donation. You can also support local journalism by becoming a friend of HIP. It only takes a minute and we would be very grateful.
