At  Project Art Works we collaborate with people who have complex needs, their families and circles of support. Our mission is to change lives through art by exploring the potential of each individual and sharing their creative abilities through a wide range of projects, partnerships and exhibitions.

Our programmes evolve through personalised, supported studio practice and radiate out to awareness raising and skills development in the public sector in order to promote diversity in programming and relevancy for audiences.

As part of out Art on Loan programme we have launched a brand new partnership with Premier Inn, who have selected eight original artworks to be displayed in their hotels across East Sussex and Kent.

The work was created by eight artist/makers who regularly attend the Project Art Works studios, an environment that provides the space and support for individuals to develop their unique artistic voice. From here we facilitate the creation of art through a range of media including painting, drawing, printmaking, collage, sculpture, animation and photography.

The Premier Inn collection was selected from an extensive archive of over 3000 pieces that have been created in the studios over the last 25 years. Through our Art on Loan programme we aim to get work by people who have complex needs into more public places, to ensure these incredible artworks are seen and to help raise awareness of the issues that affect their lives.
