Support for White Ribbon in Hastings
Over 1,100 people signed the White Ribbon pledge in Hastings town centre last Wednesday, showing their commitment to “never commit, condone or remain silent about domestic violence and abuse”.
Deputy council leader Cllr Kim Forward, the Mayor Cllr Bruce Dowling, Cllr Warren Davies and members of Sussex police all signed the pledge, and made speeches about the importance of the campaign.
Cllr Kim Forward said: “It was very encouraging to see so many people in Hastings signing the White Ribbon pledge; awareness of the issue is growing year on year.
