Former Hastings GP Dr Titus Bradley, who absconded a year ago with up to £400,000 of NHS funds from four practices, has been found shot dead in a guest house in Cape Verde along with his Hungarian girlfriend Noemi Gergely.  Local police reports indicated that one of the pair shot the other after a loud altercation between them and then committed suicide.

Sussex Police confirmed after hearing the news that they had been investigating the theft of NHS funds by Dr Bradley at the behest of NHS Hastings and Rother Clinical Commissioning Group. A spokeswoman for the Group was reported by the BBC as saying: “Our thoughts are with the friends and family of the deceased. In view of the current police investigation we cannot comment further at this time.”
