Hastings Pier, due to reopen in Spring this year, welcomed over 100 potential volunteers last Tuesday (8th March) at the White Rock Hotel, Hastings. The recruitment day was part of a drive to fill four volunteer roles; Event Assistant Volunteer, Visitor Services Volunteer, School and Family Activity Assistant Volunteer and Heritage Interpretation Volunteer.

“We were overwhelmed by the genuine interest and passion for the pier,” said Jo McLaughlan, Hastings Pier Charity’s Education and Volunteer Coordinator. “It was a pleasure to meet everyone who attended, many of whom were local to Hastings. All volunteers will play a fundamental part in making Hastings Pier a success for many years to come.”

The application deadline for these roles is Wednesday 16th March. Full role descriptions and details of how to apply can be found on the Volunteering page of HPC’s website. For further details contact Jo McLaughlan on 01424 424555 or email [email protected]
