We want to tell you how…

A new anthology of poetry and prose written and edited by gay women features two of Hastings & St Leonards’ most celebrated lesbian print and performance writers. We want to tell you how… is published by Paradise Press and was launched in London last month at Gays the Word bookshop.

Hastings-based novelist, poet, national magazine columnist and spoken word performer V G Lee has two new short stories in this vibrant collection. Widely published and constantly performing St Leonards poet Anny Knight has six poems included. Both are long time stalwarts of the Polari Literary Salon based at London’s South Bank and The Printworks Hastings which also tours both nationally and internationally. They are also popular readers within the LGBT festival and club scene – you may have seen them perform at Hastings Pride last summer.

Edited by Stephanie Dickinson and Pat Dungey We want to tell you how… features fourteen women in total. ‘We share our experiences of love and life…and the landmarks that mark our progress through our lives…in our own very varied styles, using poetry and prose.’

On Tuesday 29th May 6.00pm-8.00pm there will be a reading at Printed Matter bookshop, 185 Queens Road, Hastings. V G Lee, Anny Knight, Jill Gardiner from Brighton and co-editor Stephanie Dickinson from London will all be performing.
Signed copies of the anthology will be available at £7.99.
