Sixty-seven other councils have already stopped using glyphosate and a petition has asked that it’s use by East Sussex County Council on pavements, roadsides and green spaces is banned. Hastings Borough Council is urged to commit to banning the use of pesticides and put pressure on ESCC to stop their use.
Preparations are also beginning to plan the Green Party campaign in the next council elections, held in May 2021.
