It now seems that life is looking up for Victor the horse. After an article in the 11 January edition of Hastings Independent, lots of people were encouraged to donate via to raise money for a life-saving operation.

Victor is a two year old horse recently rescued by the Seven Acre Horse Sanctuary. He was blinded by cataracts, and without an operation to partially correct his vision, Victor would have been put to sleep.

After the HIP article, more money was raised at the Pigs Palace on 16th February, where people were entertained with taster sessions of reiki, Emmett therapy, tarot reading, massage, and psychic mediums, along with a book sale and cupcake sale and two (amazing) raffles. The evening was so successful that it took total donations to £200 over target!

Victor is now booked in on the 6th March for a five-day stay in hospital. When he is ready he can enjoy his new world out in the field like all the other horses – and eventually be re-homed!

So thank you for your support! From Victor and everyone at the Seven Acre Horse Sanctuary!

We hope you have enjoyed reading this article. The future of our volunteer led, non-profit publication would be far more secure with the aid of a small donation. It only takes a minute and we would be very grateful.
