Having been rehearsing since January with local music charity The Time to Shine Project, clients from the Seaview Centre in Hastings are putting the final touches to a spectacular night of live music at the Masonic Hall on East Ascent, St Leonards, to be held this Friday 6th April. Alison Cooper, co-founder of the Time to Shine Project, says “This is going to be a truly amazing night. All of the participants have been working so hard learning both solo songs and singing together as a choir. Many people in the local community witnessed their last concert 18 months ago…this one will be even better!”

The Seaview Centre is an open-access well-being centre serving Hastings and the surrounding area, offering support to those living on society’s margins. It has recently received a number of high-profile national awards (including a GSK/Kings Fund Impact Award 2018) and is much admired by the local community.

The course & concert, which has been sponsored by Hastings Borough Council Foreshore Trust, is a chance for the service users at Seaview to both build their own self-confidence and make a really positive impact on the local community. Michael Grant, Musical Director for the charity, says “We’re giving them a completely professional experience of performing: from the phenomenal live band to professional hair, make-up, sound and lights. It’s their chance to shine…and it will be one of the most inspirational live gigs that you will see this year!”

Tickets are £3/£2 concession and there will also be a raffle on the night. To book your limited seat in advance go to www.timetoshineproject.org or call 07486 859026.
