To celebrate World Maths Day 2020, Hastings Adventure Golf is offering Sussex pupils the chance to scoop rewards for their school.

For the third year running, the crazy golf attraction is promoting the key role that maths plays in everyday life with a maths puzzle for teachers to challenge their pupils. All schools in Sussex can enter the competition. Correct answers will be entered into a draw to be shared among three winning schools.

One person who is delighted about this is Cllr Bob Standley, lead member Education and ISEND, East Sussex County Council, who says: “A secure understanding of maths is a vital skill and the importance of demonstrating to pupils the practical applications of the subject cannot be overestimated.”

Kate Richards, a former maths teacher and manager of Hastings Adventure Golf says: “This is a great way of proving that maths is fun.So get puzzling and scoop lots of rewards for your school!” She also clarified that 45 reward
school tickets represented the 45 years of crazy golf – it’s their 45th anniversary!

The three winning schools will get 15 tickets each to be shared among pupils as school rewards that can be redeemed for free rounds of crazy golf at the famous attraction. They will be contacted by Hastings Adventure Golf with mascot Caddy Bear tee’d up to present the rewards. World Maths Day is officially celebrated on March 4.
