A local group of creatives, including artists, designers, DJs, poets, activists and fashion designers, are hosting a jumble sale and daytime rave on Good Friday at Mercatoria Business Centre Studios. You may have seen their ‘Don’t Frack With Sussex’ actions – such as the jazz funeral for fossil fuels and enormous ‘Frack Off!’ sign at the Long Man of Wilmington.

Artist Beccy McCray, whose work includes the giant sticks of rock CCTV posts and a 3-metre high pink cake at The Space in St Leonards, said “We want to have fun, hopefully earn a few pennies, but also give back to the local community. The idea was conceived on International Women’s Day, so it felt right to help women in need. We’ll be donating clothes to Seaview as well as 10% of the proceeds.”

Expect quality and vintage clothes & accessories (get styled by real-life stylists!!), artists’ books, badges and t-shirts, jungle sale plants and hand-made ‘man pots’, marmalade and tüt. There will also be: DJs Lemur Beats, jumble fever cocktails, tummy jumbling cake and jumblist massive karaoke!!
