Whilst Hastings Contemporary remains closed to the public, the Project Art Works collective of neurodiverse artists is holding a collaborative residency of workshops in the Contemporary’s Foreshore Gallery from 22nd March to 2nd May, as we enter Spring and emerge from a year of fragmentation and isolation.

Ignition is a series of public events, film screenings and installations which will be made visible through the window at Hastings Contemporary, and there will be weekly live drop-ins where you can meet some of the artists/makers and see their progress (dates and times to be confirmed).

There is also a programme of Zoom and IGTV live experience conversations:

Thursday 1st April
Art Freedom Care – about Project Art Works and their creative practice, and how it promotes representation of neurodiverse artists and those who care for them.
To register to attend via Zoom please email [email protected]

Thursday 15th April
Support Collective online meet up – Children and Young People.
Join parents and carers live from Hastings Contemporary as the children and families programme, Art Breaks, takes place.

Thursday 29th April
