The West Marina Diving Project. Is that it, after years and years of discussions about what to do with the old Bathing Pool site, the best they can do is erect a concrete structure resembling the old diving platforms, in an attempt to revive memories of the fantastic times so many people had in the Bathing Pool? To me this is hardly an attraction, as the most views this will have will be from the seagulls pooping on it, as the area is enclosed on all sides, apart from the path that runs along the seafront, and therefore hidden from the traffic. Maybe the council are hoping the residents from the 192 homes proposed to be built in Bulverhythe will pop along there to look at it?
I was a visitor to the old Bathing Pool with my young family and have memories of brilliant fun times in there, so why can’t we, for once, come up with something everyone can have a chance of enjoying instead of this waste of money?
