Always good to get feedback and good to hear an international perspective on this. It's interesting that the approach taken by Rory and Laura is to engage with the council rather than complain. 'He explained that councils are so busy doing other things that it’s important to come to them with fully formed plans that create solutions rather than pose problems – which is what he did.' How that works with ordinary members of the public is not so clear. Of course we are always ready to use HIP to amplify views and propose solutions.

This is a great asset to the town, well done. I can’t fathom out why the council do not invest in larger bins? In Canada the bins are designed so bears cannot access them , surely using the same type of bin in Hastings would resolve the issues with seagulls causing so much mess, as well as foxes etc?
